Arlington, Va. — The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) has launched a new certification program for indoor pool dehumidifiers (IPDs). This is AHRI’s 38th certification program.

The equipment in the IPD program is rated and tested in accordance with AHRI Standard 910, Performance Rating of Indoor Pool Dehumidifiers.

“AHRI’s globally recognized and industry respected certification program is continuing to grow and serve as a resource to contractors and consumers alike,” said Bill Tritsis, AHRI Vice President, Certification. “This program will provide assurance that manufacturers’ performance ratings for the equipment have been independently verified.”

The program applies to all OEM and PBM production models of residential, commercial, and industrial IPDs rated below a moisture removal capacity (MRC) of 25.0 kg/h at standard rating conditions per Table 2 of AHRI Standard 910.

AHRI is actively seeking new participants for the program. Manufacturers interested in joining the IPD certification program may contact AHRI Standards Engineer Danny Abbate.
