Arlington, VA — The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) recently published the 2012 edition of the AHRI HVACR & Water Heating Industry Statistical Profile.

The document includes 20 years of public data related to:

• Total U.S. industry employment
• Wages and value added per employee
• Number of American manufacturing establishments
• New single-family home construction in the U.S.

The profile also includes data by census region on the type of heating system installed in new single-family homes and statistics on residential air conditioning saturation. It contains aggregated U.S. manufacturer shipment data for commercial and residential gas and electric water heaters, oil and gas warm air furnaces, and unitary air conditioners and air-source heat pumps.
