AHRI Welcomes New Officers, Presents Awards and Scholarships

AHRI held its Annual Meeting November 11-13 in Palm Springs, California, during which it elected new association officers and presented awards to industry leaders. In addition, the Clifford H. “Ted” Rees, Jr. Scholarship Foundation awarded scholarships to four students studying at San Joaquin Valley College.

“AHRI is honored to recognize the many industry advocates who make our success possible,” said AHRI President and CEO Stephen Yurek. “Our new officers, award winners, and these students make a positive difference in our industry every day.”

The Richard C. Schulze Award is an honor presented in recognition of distinguished service and commitment to AHRI and the industry’s goals and objectives. John Conrad, ACHR News, received the AHRI Public Service Award, which recognizes deserving individuals or organizations that have made a significant contribution to the HVACR industry and in furthering AHRI’s goals.

The Distinguished Service Award recognizes individuals who are leaders in the industry and who have made significant contributions to the industry throughout their careers. The Clifford H. "Ted" Rees, Jr. Scholarship Foundation
was established to assist with the recruitment and competency of future heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) technicians by awarding scholarships to qualified students who are enrolled in an institutionally accredited school. San Joaquin Valley College students Jamie Dean Barela, Mario Cedano, Christopher Kirby, Jeremy Miller, were awarded scholarships. Click on the photo below to download the image.
