Certification
AHRI’s globally recognized and industry respected certification program helps you, as equipment and component manufacturers, sell more products, win bids, differentiate yourselves from competitors, and comply with government requirements. When specifiers and other decision makers see that your equipment bears the AHRI Certified
®
mark, it will provide them with the assurance that your equipment will perform accurately and consistently, thus helping you win more bids.
In addition to performance certification, the EPA recently named AHRI as an official Certification Body (CB) as part of its effort to strengthen the ENERGY STAR program. This development is welcome news for those companies that participate in AHRI’s certification program, because they are now part of a program that is recognized not only by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), the California Energy Commission (CEC), and Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), but now by the EPA as well. This allows AHRI program participants to achieve significant savings by serving various certification needs through AHRI verification testing. AHRI certification program participants can meet EPA ENERGY STAR certification and verification requirements without any additional testing on the products they wish to have ENERGY STAR labeled.
Important Change: Certification Logo Transition Underway
As of January 1, 2012, all ARI Performance Certified, GAMA Efficiency Rating Certified and I=B=R marks will be replaced by the AHRI Certified mark. To date, all former ARI Performance Certified marks have been replaced, as have most of the former GAMA marks. Equipment that falls under the I=B=R program will bear both the AHRI Certified mark as well as the I=B=R mark until 2014.
