Many HVACR manufacturing industry standards, programs, and policy positions originate in AHRI’s 40-plus product sections. AHRI member companies can apply for membership in one or more of these product-specific groups based on what they manufacture. Some typical activities of these groups include: standards development, policy recommendations and public education. Involvement in AHRI product sections, which meet throughout the year, provides our member companies with an opportunity to influence the entire standards-setting process and to become an early player in market-shaping decisions for the benefit of their company and the entire industry.
