AHRI facilitates the donation of HVACR equipment from its member companies to schools that participate in the Industry Competency Exams and/or have earned PAHRA accreditation. To receive donated equipment at no charge, schools must agree to release from liability the manufacturer, Intertek Testing Services, and AHRI, and the school must agree to pay shipping costs. Since the program's launch in 2001, millions of dollars of equipment has been donated to hundreds of schools.
