The two discussed industry developments impacting the global market, such as the new efficiency requirement for unitary small equipment, updates to the controller verification procedure (CVP) under the VRF standard, the A2L refrigerant transition in North America, and recent changes to the global part load value for chillers. During the forum, Yurek provided updates on U.S. progress in the current refrigerant transition progress in implementing U.S. and equipment tax incentive program, and the latest information on the U.S. regulatory landscape. He also met with a number of government officials and business executives, including representatives from China’s Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and the China Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Industry Association (CRAA), as well as the CEO of Sanhua Group, and senior staff from other AHRI member companies in China.
